I have recently moved into Pickering.

Would you know if there are any chess clubs in this area - I cannot find any information in the local library.

Otherwise are there any players, who you are aware of, who travel from this area to clubs in the York area.

Your assistance is much appreciated.

I hope to run Chess Breaks in the Lake District at an hotel with chess, walking, etc. Does this appeal to members?

I am seriously considering running a senior citizens event similar to the one recently run in Derbyshire and wondered if members would be interested in taking part in events in York, Ambleside or Grange.

The YCA Hon. Secretary as asked me to point out that the YCA does have an IM Brown Best Game prize, that is for any YCA event and League not just the IM Brown. Details can be found here

In the YCA Hanbook it says see YCA website for more information on the NMS and ECF schemes. I would love to publish this information if someone would please provide me with it.

My only suggestion for improvement would be if we had as many points as Rose Forgrove B!

my only suggestion for improvement would be if Rose Forgrove 'B' had more points in the Woodhouse Cup, but we'll keep plugging away
